Richie Prager is enjoying retired life – a mix of family, hobbies, and home office. The home office consists of investments, Board, and Advisory work. Richie is the Founding member of Spiral Horn Advisory. Richie is a Senior Adviser to the CEO/Founders of a privately held data analytics company, Tresata and on the Advisory Board of Accuria, a loan credit intelligence platform.  Richie’s hobbies all revolve around the great outdoors, including hunting, writing about hunting, and collecting hunting revenue stamps and licenses.

Richie’s passion for the federal Duck Stamp program has been shared with many. As Executive Producer of the “The Million Dollar Duck” (2016) documentary about the only US Government-sponsored art competition for the Duck Stamp Program, Richie became intrigued with the winning paintings and began to collect them.  This collection, which comprises most of the winners since the program’s inception in 1934, was donated to the Bruce Museum and displayed in Conservation Through the Arts: Celebrating the Federal Duck Stamp (September 5, 2024 – February 9, 2025.). Richie now serves on the Collections Committee at the Bruce Museum.

Richie was elected to the Camp Fire Conservation Fund Board in 2023 and became President of the Fund Board in 2024. Richie and the Board have set several goals for the Fund; the most critical are better Club member engagement and growing the size of the Fund. Needing a better communication tool, Richie has leveraged pamphlets used by other organizations to set a vision for our own booklet. An easily digestible pamphlet of the conservation history of the Club and Fund. Fellow Fund Board member Dick Markgraf architected our Pamphlet with contributions from many.

Before retiring from BlackRock in 2019, Richie spent 38 years in global financial services in New York, Charlotte, London, England and Sydney, Australia. Post retirement, Richie spent five years on the MarketAxess Board, Chairing the compensation committee and was a member of the risk committee. Richie has a B.S. in Zoology from Duke University. Richie is a father of three and a grandfather of six.
