Dr. Jacqueline Frair is a Professor of Wildlife Ecology at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF), where she also serves as Director of the Roosevelt Wild Life Station and Curriculum Coordinator for the Wildlife Science major. A Fellow of The Wildlife Society, Dr. Frair is internationally recognized for her research on the spatial ecology of large mammals, including moose, white-tailed deer, wolves, and jaguars. Her work integrates field-based studies with advanced modeling to inform wildlife management and conservation strategies across North America and beyond.

Dr. Frair has been a science advisor to the New York State Fish and Wildlife Management Advisory Board since 2006 and is a past president of The Wildlife Society’s Northeast Section. She has been honored with SUNY ESF’s Exemplary Researcher Award and the Peter Roemer Conservation Award from the Camp Fire Conservation Fund. Her leadership in mentoring students and advancing applied conservation science continues to shape the next generation of wildlife professionals.
