Dick was elected to the Conservation Fund Board of Directors in 2024. An architect by trade, he is interested in environmental conservation and wildlife conservation with a focus on the protection, preservation, and restoration of natural habitats and the many species that inhabit them. Managing natural environments like forests and grasslands is key to preserving biodiversity and ecosystem functions. This work is as vital as ensuring the survival and success of the species that inhabit these places. Environmental and Wildlife conservation efforts are hallmarks of our Club and carry integral elements of our heritage and future.

With degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, and Architecture, Dick has a broad and experienced background which he put to use for the benefit of the Club and Fund. His most recent efforts include several media initiatives for the Fund: the pamphlet “The History Of Conservation at the Camp-Fire Club of America, 1897-2024” and the active revamp of the Fund website – both of which the Fund aims to use as a resource for internal and external support of our efforts.
